Wrong Prediction Plot
The spectator selects a card. You demonstrate that Houdini comes to life and pulls out a card, but it is incorrect. You wave your hand, and the wrong card transforms into the spectator’s card.
Wrong Prediction Plot (Advanced Version)
The spectator selects a card and signs the back. You demonstrate that the portrait comes to life and pulls out a card, but it’s the wrong one. You wave your hand, and the correct card appears. You then say that the card the spectator chose is actually under the glass. To prove it, you place your hands on the glass and pull out the selected card from the portrait!
Celebrity’s Childhood
The spectator thinks of a celebrity, and you reveal a portrait of a star in your box, but it’s Harry Houdini! Oops, wrong. But in Harry’s hands, he holds a photograph of a child, and that child is the celebrity the spectator is thinking of! You wave a cloth and transform the child into Marilyn Monroe.
Cloud of Thoughts
A person thinks of any word from a book test, and you say you can predict what the spectator is thinking. You reveal a portrait of Harry Houdini, and he pulls out a thought bubble. You wave your hand, and the word the person thought of appears in the bubble.
Prediction in Chinese
You can also use a blank card to predict a word and transform a Japanese/Chinese word into a word in your language.
Duo Reality
You can use the portrait for dual reality. Show the audience a regular portrait, while showing the spectator a card (this way you can force a card on the spectator). Your card is in this deck the spectator thinks of a card. Harry Houdini pulls out the Ace of Spades. But you draw an outline over the glass and say that it’s not the Ace of Spades, but a deck of cards. You wave your hand and transform the “deck of cards” into the spectator’s card.
Here’s what you get:
- Specially prepared picture of Harry Houdini in a frame
- Box for transporting the gimmick to your shows
- 3 different types of hands (playing card / Marilyn Monroe photo / Dry-Erase blank card)
- Everything you need for the changing effect
- Detailed explanatory video
